ground:from Independent EP released in collaboration with producing duo, Input/Output.

After the release of ground:from, the sense of creation in response to research and data, especially that of ecology and natural sciences, became central to the practice. With intention of exploring sound beyond the singer/songwriter framework, a focus on experimentation through diverse experiences and cross-disciplinary collaborations emerged as essential. These works, pieces I call Sonic Diaries6, are not published under the fulana project.

2025
Saudi Pavilion Artist Residency
Osaka World Expo Osaka, Japan
The residency encouraged artists to create work that forms connections between Japanese and Saudi Cultures. The composition required deep presence and focused intention with every additional element. The music was created in collaboration with Sy Lokk, a Japanese musician and sessionist, resulting in a piece sounding like a conversation between two cultures trying to savor a singular moment of meeting.

Film Scoring Mentorship with Hannah Peel
Hunna Mentorship Program
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Hunna is a women-led initiative led by the MdlBeast Foundation in Saudi Arabia. It offers workshops, talks, and collaborative opportunities for women in music across the MENA region as well as intensive mentorships for applicants looking to learn more about an aspect in industry or music practice.
Participating with Hannah Peel as a mentor enabled an explorations of music beyond the familiar songwriting method, with focus on sound as the only storytelling tool. This process culminated in the development of a cohesive body of work that captured memories through sonic experimentation and documentation.
With the challenge to capture the magic in relatively mundane situations being the main objective, the limitation of using just three or four instruments per track and live field recordings pushed towards thinking beyond an instrument’s limitations.

Diriyah Contemporary Art Biennale
In Interludes and TransitionsRiyadh, Saudi Arabia
In collaboration with Saudi researcher and writer Nouf AlHarthi, Closeness of the Red Tide is a performance commissioned by Diriyah Contemporary Art Biennale. In the work, Nouf reflects on the lifecycle of Trichodesmium, a bacterium found in large bodies of water and historically believed to have given the Red Sea its name. The accompanying sonic composition responds to the biological transformations, mirroring moments of tension as well as release.

6.The title Sonic Diaries was only adopted after working with the Diriyah Biennale Foundation team. Great suggestion. Love it.
